Cruising on the Proud Mary

The Proud Mary offers two or five night cruises on board a purpose-built riverboat as you discover the beauty and fascination of the third longest water system in the world, the Murray River. This boutique boat caters for a maximum of only 36 passengers, with 18 spacious river view cabins that showcase some of Australia’s best wildlife and fauna; the cruise is a must do activity on a vacation to South Australia.
Each cabin has twin or double beds, individually controlled air conditioning units, your own private en-suite, tea & coffee making facilities, hair dryers and are serviced twice daily. All cabins open on to balcony areas with spectacular river views.

There is a well-appointed bar, intimate lounge and dining area provides a great spot for enjoying the wonderful cuisine of one of the resident chefs, specialising in preparing modern Australian and European cuisine from the highest quality produce. Menus are seasonally based and feature a delightful range of dishes including fresh seafood, chicken, beef, lamb and pork, sourced from local suppliers and freshly baked bread is collected along the river. You will enjoy Australian themed bush barbecues on shore through to a 5 course silver service Captain’s Dinner. All the 3 meals per day enjoyed on board are part of your total cruise price.
Cruises depart from Murray Bridge weekly with an all Australian crew who are friendly, experienced and willing to assist in any way. They have great knowledge of the history, geography and wildlife of the Murray River. The Captain’s commentary as you gently cruise along will provide you with hours of entertainment and you may like to enjoy the tea and coffee available in the dining room or just browse the souvenirs.
