Late afternoon the famous Murray River paddle steamer, P.S. Murray Princess departs historic Mannum, birthplace of
the Murray River trade and communication, and heads upriver while you enjoy pre-dinner drinks and a Welcome Dinner.
Sit back and enjoy your Murray River Cruise as your boat cruises under floodlight to your overnight mooring at Craignook.
From the paddle steamer you may see nocturnal wildlife on the Murray River bank, watch for grey kangaroos, hair-nosed wombats,
Murray River long necked tortoises and spoon-beaked echidnas. Your resident on-board entertainer provides music for those who enjoy the times
of Murray River boat cruises.
In 1879 the first bridge to span the Murray River was built at Edwards Crossing, which quickly became the
bustling township of Murray Bridge. After a hearty breakfast, join a guided tour of the town's historic landmarks and
local attractions. This afternoon you will begin your journey upriver. Tonight the boat will moor at Craignook, where after dinner you
can enjoy being entertained your talented crew.
All ashore for the guided nature walk where your guide will share the secrets of the local flora and fauna.
It's a great way to get in a little exercise before Murray Princess departs for the big river gorges and 90 metres cliffs of
the upper river. Mid morning join everyone in the Sturt Dining room for a special presentation on the bounty of food and wine
produced in the riverland's. At the 205km mark the Princess will turn and head down river to River View Lodge where your
discovery vessel awaits for a backwater wildlife tour. Traveling in small, personalised groups, you will explore the maze of
the river and the bird life is amazing. Watch for darters, herons and egrets feeding along the river's muddy edges.
During the afternoon also join the bocce or fishing challenge. This evening join the Captain and Officers for pre dinner
drinks and the Captain's Dinner and Dance.
After breakfast, P.S. Murray Princess arrives at Mannum. Here you will join a complimentary coach tour (normally valued at $155 per person)
to the famous Barossa Valley where many of Australia's world-renowned wines come from. You'll visit three premium wineries,
have lunch and enjoy some free time in Tanunda before returning to your riverboat in preparation for the afternoon sail.
Mid-afternoon the paddle wheeler sets sail again from Mannum where you can take time to relax as the paddle boat cruises up
the mighty Murray River allowing you to enjoy pre-dinner drinks. During the evening the Murray River boat will cruise under
floodlight to an overnight mooring on the Murray River at Caurnamont. Keep your eyes peeled on the Murray River bank as you
may see nocturnal wildlife including grey kangaroos, hair-nosed wombats, Murray River long necked tortoises and spoon-beaked echidnas.
Settle in for a night's entertainment by an on-board entertainer who will provides music for those of you who wish a late night.
Daybreak comes on the Murray River and time for the keen photographers to be out to capture the special light
and the morning movement of wildlife. Prolific bird life can be seen from the decks of the P.S. Murray Princes
and includes pelicans, blue wrens and black swans. After breakfast it's time to cruise the Murray River again,
this time the paddle steamer will cruise upstream to Blanchetown, through one of 13 locks which maintain the
flow of the Murray River and levels of water. Shortly the river boat will reach Salter's Station for overnight anchorage.
This evening, as the last rays of the sun fade, you can join one of expert guides for a tour of Burk Salter's vineyard on
the banks of the Murray River, there is even time for a little wine tasting at the cellar door.
Tonight enjoy all the fun and excitement of the Murray River Cup on board the P.S. Murray Princess.
After breakfast join a guide for a walk along the eco-sensitive wetlands of Salter's Station on the banks of the Murray River Australia.
Back onboard the paddle steamer will cruise down the Murray River, after lunch many passengers enjoy an afternoon nap, watch the Australian
landscape slide by, or enjoy a lifestyle and info-cruising presentation. During the afternoon your Murray River cruise will arrive at Sunnydale,
ere it's all ashore for the Woolshed Sound & Light Show that recreates typical Australian woolshed history. Later that day a visit is
made to the Native Wildlife Shelter where some of South Australia's most interesting native animals are cared for. That evening your
chefs will prepare a great Aussie Barbecue cooked and served in a bush setting on the banks of the mighty Murray River Australia.
After dinner you will be treated to a nocturnal eco-tour by tractor and cart.
After breakfast the P.S. Murray Princes slowly cruises downstream along the mighty Murray River past magnificent cliffs
scoured by the Murray River over millions of years. The next stop for the paddle boat is Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Reserve,
one of Australia's most significant archaeological sites. Take a step back in time tens of thousands of years and join a
knowledgeable guide for a boardwalk view of ancient rock carvings and learn about aboriginal history in the area. Back onboard
the paddle steamer the boat will cruise down the Murray River to Younghusband. Along the way, adventure seekers can also take
a speed boat ride. The P.S. Murray Princess will cruise past large billabongs, open expanses of water and cliffs amazingly high.
Tonight the Captain and his officers host a spectacular farewell dinner onboard the P.S. Murray Princess.
After breakfast P.S. Murray Princess arrives at Mannum on the Murray River
where reluctantly the Cruise staff and new friends farewells each other. You will then transfer back to the Mercure
Grosvernor Hotel in Adelaide arriving around 12.30pm. The afternoon is yours free to wonder the city of Adelaide before
settling into your included accommodation at the Mercure Grosvernor Hotel for the night.
An early morning pick up from your hotel for a scenic coach journey to Cape Jarvis taking in the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula
with its vineyards, coastal views and rolling hills. On arrival, board the Sea Link Cruise for the 45 minute crossing
to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island. Here you will board your luxury Sea link coach and your local driver/guide will take
you on a tour of South Australia's premier nature-based tourism destination. Your first official stop will be Clifford's
Honey Farm to enjoy an informative talk by the beekeeper followed by tasting's and an opportunity to sample homemade honey
ice-cream and honey beauty products. Then travel onto Vivonne Bay Bistro located on a 260 hectare bush property,
for a delicious two course lunch. After lunch visit Seal Bay Conservation Park and enjoy a guided beach walk with a National
Park Ranger amongst a breeding colony of wild and rare Australian Sea- lions. Your tour will then visit another amazing
wildlife attraction, the fascinating Birds of Prey free-flight demonstration, an interactive and educational display
of native Australian birds and raptors. From here you will travel to Kingscote before being transferred to your Kangaroo Island overnight accommodation.
After your morning hotel pick up, your second day of touring begins at Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery, an interesting
bush engineered eucalyptus distillery that makes the most of its environmental resources. After testing and tasting
the eucalyptus products, travel to the centre of Kangaroo Island to the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park where you can
feed Kangaroo Island kangaroos, have your photograph taken with a koala, and take a guided tour of this wildlife and
bird park. Next, travel to Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary to look for Koalas nestled up in the eucalypts, followed by
a scrumptious two course lunch at Hanson Bay Visitor Centre & cafe. After lunch travel to the western most part of
the Island, Flinders Chase National Park, one of Australia's largest and earliest conservation parks. After a short
stop at the Flinders Chase Visitor Centre, travel through the park and enjoy breath-taking views of its unique trees,
plants and coastal scenery. You will be taken to the rugged southern coastline for a walk around Remarkable Rocks
and Admirals Arch. Remarkable Rocks provide great photographic opportunities and stunning sea views. Admirals Arch
boardwalk takes you down a rugged cliff face to reveal this spectacular arch, a natural nursery and safe haven for
playful New Zealand fur seals that can be seen swimming and playing in the waves, or resting on the rocks. Return to
Penneshaw Cruise Terminal for the return journey to Adelaide, on arrival in Adelaide
at 10.40pm you will be dropped off at your included accommodation at the Mercure Grosvernor Hotel for the night.

Getting To Your Departure Point
A complimentary return coach picks up at the Mercure Grosvenor Hotel, 125 North Terrace, Adelaide at 2.00pm
and on your return you are dropped off at between 12 noon - 12.30pm.
Complimentary locked up car parking is available at Mannum for those who self drive.
